Electrolytic capacitor

Inside the electrolytic capacitor is an electrolyte material that stores charge. It is divided into positive and negative polarity, similar to a battery, and cannot be reversed. A metal substrate is extremely bonded to an oxide film, and the negative electrode is connected to the electrolyte (solid and non-solid) by the metal plate.


Non-polar (bipolar) electrolytic capacitor adopts double oxide film structure, which is similar to two polar electrolytic capacitors that connect two negative electrodes. The two electrodes are respectively connected by two metal plates (both bonded with oxide film), and the middle of the two groups of oxide film is electrolyte. Polar electrolytic capacitor usually plays a role in power supply filtering, decoupling, signal coupling, time constant setting and DC isolation in power supply circuits or intermediate frequency and low frequency circuits. Non-polar electrolytic capacitor is usually used in audio frequency divider circuit, TV S correction circuit and single-phase motor starting circuit.


The working voltage of electrolytic capacitor is 4V, 6.3V, 10V, 16V, 25V, 35V, 50V, 63V, 80V, 100V, 160V, 200V, 300V, 400V, 450V, 500V, and the working temperature is -55°~+155℃ (4~500V), Characterized by large capacity, large volume, polarity, generally used for direct current circuit for filtering, rectification. At present the most commonly used electrolytic capacitors are aluminum electrolytic capacitors and tantalum electrolytic capacitors.
